Bernstein Piano Competition Since 1988, the Bernstein Piano Competition has encouraged generations of young pianists.
Join us for this brilliant event to hear the young pianists perform and witness wonderful trophies and cash prizes being awarded.

BERNSTEIN PIANO COMPETITION:
Created by Professor Max Cooke OAM and Bernies Music Land, the aim of this special event is to encourage young piano students by providing a friendly yet competitive environment for students to excel in piano performance.
Each year, Masterclass heats are held at Bernstein Piano Dealers around Australia. At each Masterclass heat, selected students are invited to compete as finalists in the National Bernstein Piano Competition, held in Melbourne in October.
This "Masterclass" experience connects students with some of Australia’s leading pianists and educators provides a unique and enriching experience for young piano students.
Over the years, Bernstein Australia has flown finalists to Melbourne for a sensational competition event held in October. Covid restricted this and state events were run separately.
Beautiful trophies, cash prizes and certificates are presented in Junior (8 to 12 years) and Senior (13 to 16 years) divisions.
The Bernstein Piano Competition is very grateful to the Team of Pianists (www.teamofpianists.com.au) for their ongoing support, advice and participation as adjudicators in the Bernstein Masterclass and Piano Competition Series.
The Bernstein Piano Competition features the spectacular new Bernstein 218 Concert Grand Piano.
