Step into a world of mystery and intrigue at the second annual Berlin Diaries: 1-Act Play Festival. Featuring 9 new plays written by local writers, this year's festival centers on the theme "(a) mysterious nature(s)" where we explore the mysteries of human nature, society, and our natural world.
What to Expect
The festival unfolds in two volumes, each with a unique lineup of plays, performed on both Saturday and Sunday. Come for one volume or stay all day to experience them all!
This showcase is a celebration of Berlin’s creative community. Writers, directors, actors, and designers collaborate to bring fresh stories to life, and you get to vote for your favorite writers, directors, and performers throughout the weekend.
Schedule Highlights
- Each showtime features a single volume with a short interval halfway through
- Between performances: Grab a drink from the theater bar or enjoy food in the courtyard (sold separately)
- Saturday evening: Stick around for our Writers’ Panel Discussion
- Sunday evening: Join us for the Festival Awards Ceremony, where we present the audience choice awards as well as the jury awards from our panel of local artists
Conditions for Reduced Tickets
Tickets are offered at a reduced price to students under the age of 27, people over the age of 65 or retired, people with registered disabilities and their accompanying persons, and people under severe financial hardship (Berlin-Ticket S or equivalent).
