Berea Civic Solutions Supper: A Community Conversation on AI

Artificial intelligence is showing up more and more in our work, our communities, and our daily lives. It is changing quickly, and there is a lot to sort through: possibilities, real concerns, and plenty of questions about what these tools mean for us.
Rather than leaving those conversations to tech companies and experts somewhere else, we want to create a space here in Berea to talk together about what AI means for our community.
Through a Civic Health Microgrant from the Kentucky Rural-Urban Exchange and Kentucky Civic Trust, we are bringing together a small and varied group of community members for dinner and conversation.
You do not need to be an AI expert, or even a regular user. We are hoping for a mix of experiences, perspectives, questions, hopes, and concerns.
Together, we’ll share a meal, learn from one another, explore how AI is already affecting our lives and work, and think about how we want to navigate these changes as a community.
Thursday, October 22
6:00–8:30 PM
Berea Public Library
Dinner provided at no cost
This gathering builds on the Civic Solutions Supper model, which uses shared meals and facilitated conversation to strengthen relationships and create room for thoughtful discussion about issues affecting our communities.
Space will be limited so we can keep the conversation personal and participatory.
Interested in joining us? Complete the RSVP form to let us know.
