The 2024 BentBBQRibStravaganzathon KCBS Backyard Competition and People’s

Choice Party benefiting the Invisible Wounds Project is back! Come show off your BBQ skills

while helping us raise money for an important cause. The Invisible Wounds Project provides

therapy services and other resources to Minnesota’s military, first responders, frontline medical

staff, corrections, dispatch, and their families related to mental health, PTSD, and suicide

issues. Help us give back to those who gave the most.

A 10’x20’ parking lot space is provided. Larger spots are on a first-come first-serve basis so be

sure to email us with your space needs. There are only 30 spots again this year. The earlier you

sign up the closer to the judges tent you are.

Cost = $300 per team

All proceeds from this event will go directly to the Invisible Wounds Project.

$8,300 in prize money is up for grabs, along with the

coveted GRAND CHAMPION GOLDEN SPATULA!

• $5,800 for KCBS Ribs and Chicken (1st – 10th place in each category plus 1 st – 5 th

overall)

• $1,150 for People's Choice Ribs (1st – 5th place)
• $850 for People's Choice Side (1st – 5th place)
• $500 for the Bent Brewstillery sponsored Cocktail Contest! This portion is free to enter and optional to participate in. (1st – 3rd place)

• There will be dedicated bar servers for the teams that will take and deliver your bar

orders starting around 10am.

• Teams are able to start setting up in the parking lot at 7pm the night before. There will be

a meat inspection at 9pm for the early arrivals.

• Teams are able to arrive at 6am on the day of with meat inspections available starting at

7am.

• Free Bloody Mary Bar starts at 6:30am.
• Teams supply their own ribs, chicken, and cocktail ingredients for KCBS judging. Find

• Your choice of Bent Brewstillery liquor for the judged cocktail will be provided to you free

on check in. Excluded is any whiskey over $50. If you mix any of these whiskeys into a

cocktail, you shouldn’t be drinking them!

• Ribs for People’s Choice will be given to you at check in.

• If you don’t have room to cook all of your provided racks for people’s choice, please

cook as many as you can and the rest will be cooked by another team.

• NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL (beer or spirits) allowed on the premises, BENT

BREWSTILLERY ALCOHOL ONLY! (Available for purchase on-site or in liquor stores).

This is a State Law.

• 9:22(am) Toast provided by Bent Brewstillery, please gather in the taproom for a free

shot!

• The bar will be open at 6:30am for beer and cocktails.

• Pickup your free liquor bottle for the cocktail competition

6:30am – Free Bloody Bar (while supplies last…) and taproom open

7:00am – Meat inspections as needed

9:22am – Morning toast in the taproom

12:00pm – KCBS Chicken turn-in

12:30pm – KCBS Rib turn-in

1:30pm – Cocktail turn-in

1:45pm – People’s Choice Ribs and Sides serving starts. Wait for starting gun!

2:00pm – Pulled pork and smoked gator available

4:00pm – Awards ceremony
