Join us for a very special Ribbon Cutting as we celebrate 50 years of Ben's! 50 years ago, Floyd and Charlotte Craft chose to make Bowling Green their home. In 1976, Floyd opened their family business as Ben Franklin’s in a location that once housed a Woolworth’s store. Over the years, the Craft family continued to grow, opening Ace Hardware in 1987 and the Busy Thimble in 2010.
Floyd has often shared how supportive the Bowling Green community has been to local businesses, calling it one of the best places he’s ever lived and worked—and it’s easy to see why.
As Amy Craft Ahrens puts it, “My Dad has literally worked nearly every day over the past 50 years… He’s 89 now and still coming in every single day.”
Floyd’s dedication, hard work, and commitment to serving the community make this milestone truly special.
