Our friend and colleague Brad DeMilo passed away this fall. We played together with Brad for close to three decades and he is missed and very fondly remembered.Brad not only played french horn with us, he also did close to 30 arrangements for the Long Island Brass Guild.
We will be performing a concert in his memory on April 19th. All proceeds will go to Mercy Haven and we will be featuring several of Brad's arrangements along with music not arranged by Brad. Brad's mostly light hearted arrangements by diverse composers from Leroy Anderson to Dimitri Shostakovich will join music by Copland, Mendelssohn, and Sousa. Cynthia Holden will be joining us on some pieces and also performing some solo organ music. We will also have the organ join the brass playing Brad's arrangement of the playful and powerful Polka and Fugue by Weinberger.
Tickets are $15 general admission; $10 students and Seniors; and $25 families. They can be purchased at the door.
