Ben Tufts & Friends present: Spirit of '76 at Jammin' Java

For 15 years, Ben Tufts has been hosting concerts featuring DMV talent, benefitting the scholarship fund in his father Craig's name. Every event is a different theme, and since this year coincides with his 50th birthday, he decided to feature the music that was on the radio and in concert halls in 1976. You'll hear music from AC/DC, Heart, The Ramones, Joni Mitchell, Aerosmith, Peter Frampton, Warren Zevon, Rush, Thin Lizzy, The Band and more! Artists confirmed so far include Shane Hines, Juliet Lloyd, Bitter Luck, GXB, Classified Frequency, The Beanstalk Library and The Morelias! Every Ben Tufts and Friends event is a great show for a great cause--The Craig Tufts Fund was established after Craig's untimely passing from brain cancer in 2009. The fund, hosted by the National Wildlife Federation, where Craig was the Chief Naturalist for thirty years, is used to send one young nature enthusiast to a Family Nature Summit each summer. Family Nature Summits are annual, week-long educational vacations focusing on nature appreciation and conservation.
