Beltane - A May Day celebration for childrenJoin us for a joyful outdoor celebration of Beltane (also known as May Day) – that marks the half way point between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice. Best suited to 2-11 approx.
A relaxed, family-friendly session with a mix of storytelling, crafts, and nature-based activities:
Hear the tale of the Green Man and the May Queen and then get involved with nature crafts including creating Green Man masks and elder bubble wands - and we will find ways to use May Day ribbons in a joyous celebration.
These sessions are all about sharing a love of nature, storytelling, and seasonal traditions. We take inspiration from old customs and folklore, and give them a gentle, modern twist that families can enjoy together.
Whether you join in every activity or simply soak up the atmosphere, this is a space to slow down, connect, and celebrate the changing season.
Run by FRP charity Manager and Catkin & co - Abigail and based in our woodland.
