We're delighted to join forces with Salford Choral Society to perform Oldham born William Walton’s magnificent Belshazzar’s Feast, supported by a full orchestra and brass band.
Unveiled in 1931, Belshazzar’s Feast is a dramatic and edgy composition with multiple rhythmic changes. A contrasting but equally operatic experience will be provided by the two supporting pieces – Elgar’s Great is the Lord and selections from Verdi’s Nabucco.
Don't miss the chance to see two of the region's leading amateur choirs on stage together under the baton of Tom Newall and to hear Oldham's Musical Director David Cane as the Baritone soloist.
