About this Event

Belonging: A Post-Pride Breathwork Integration

Pride doesn't have to end when the parade is over.

Belonging is an invitation to move beyond celebration and into embodiment, a space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and explore what it truly means to belong.

This experience centers LGBTQ+ lived experiences while warmly welcoming allies who are committed to showing up with curiosity, respect, and care. Together, we'll explore the many layers of identity, authenticity, gender, belonging, and what it means to feel at home within ourselves and in community.

By choosing to participate, you are acknowledging that this gathering is intentionally designed to support a wide diversity of human experiences. This container will be held with care, compassion, and well intentions, honoring people of all gender identities and expressions, sexual orientations, races, cultures, religions, political perspectives, and lived experiences. While this event centers LGBTQ+ voices and experiences, everyone is invited to enter with humility, curiosity, and a willingness to listen, reflect, and grow.

We ask that you arrive with an open mind and an open heart ready to explore your own experience while respecting the stories, identities, and perspectives of others. Together, we co-create a space rooted in presence, empathy, and belonging.

Rather than experiencing Pride as something we perform for others, this gathering invites us to integrate it into our everyday lives and cultivating a deeper sense of presence, self-acceptance, and connection.

The Experience
Community Somatic Checkin & Sharing Circle with Jered Bailey

We'll begin with an interactive embodiment practice exploring themes of authenticity, identity, gender, belonging, and embodiment. Through a guided somatic check-in, rhythmic instrumentals, and in sharing circle, participants will be invited to slow down, move beyond the thinking mind, and connect more deeply with their bodies.

This practice allows us to notice the sensations, emotions, and experiences present within us while creating space to settle into the environment, share our stories, and build connection with one another. Together, we’ll cultivate presence, self-awareness, and belonging as we prepare our bodies and minds for the breathwork journey ahead.

Somatic Breathwork Journey with Jered Bailey

Following our discussion, you'll be guided through a somatic breathwork journey designed to help you move beyond the thinking mind and into the wisdom of your body.

Somatic breathwork is an active meditation that uses conscious connected breathing to arouse sensation within the body. This style of breathing can help regulate the nervous system, increase body awareness, and create space for emotions, memories, and patterns that may have been stored beneath the surface to gently emerge.

The breathwork journey lasts approximately 90 minutes, during which participants will remain lying on the ground for most of the experience. The more physically comfortable you are, the easier it is to soften into your body and fully receive the journey.

Please bring:

  • A yoga mat or thick padded mat (more cushioning is encouraged if you need it)
  • Blankets for warmth and additional comfort
  • A pillow or bolster to support your body if desired
  • An eye mask (recommended to help deepen your inward experience)
  • Comfortable clothing that allows you to breathe and move freely
  • Water for after the journey

Creating a comfortable nest for yourself is an important part of the experience. The more supported your body feels, the more easily your nervous system can settle and the deeper you may be able to drop into the journey.

Every breathwork experience is unique. Some participants experience profound relaxation, peace, gratitude, clarity, or a sense of connection. Others may encounter laughter, tears, tingling sensations, muscle tension or cramping, emotional release, or moments of discomfort as the body processes stored stress or emotion. Some people have vivid insights or memories arise, while others simply experience stillness and presence.

There is no "right" way to experience somatic breathwork. Your experience will be your own.

Throughout the journey, you'll be supported in a well-intentioned, grounded environment and encouraged to honor whatever arises with curiosity and compassion. You are always in control of your experience and are welcome to slow your breath, return to a natural breathing pattern, or simply rest at any point during the session.

No previous breathwork experience is necessary, only a willingness to show up with an open mind and meet yourself exactly where you are.

Closing Community Conversation with The T Spot

We'll conclude by returning to conversation with facilitators from The T Spot to explore themes of separation, labels, and belonging within the queer community. Together, we'll reflect on how we can move beyond division, deepen understanding across identities, and continue creating spaces where everyone has room to belong.

T Spot members can use promo code TSPOT to receive $20 off registration.

Whether you identify as LGBTQIA+ or are an ally walking alongside our community, this evening offers an opportunity to listen deeply, breathe fully, and remember that belonging isn't something we earn it’s something we embody.

Come as you are.

Leave more connected to yourself, your body, and your sense of belonging.
