Bellydance is a low-impact, creative and cultural dance of joy and celebration. Originating in Egypt, it now empowers women throughout the world. Have you tried it?Starting this February, you can choose from two 9-week courses... or double the fun and do both!
Technique, Moves and Musicality: Tuesdays 6.30pm.
In this essential course you will learn shimmies, circles, hip drops and more. If you've done a little already, you'll deepen your knowledge and refine your skills.
The 9-week course provides a clear structure so you learn systematically, and remember what you've learned.
Veil Choreography: Tuesdays 7.30pm.
The chiffon veil is a beautiful, elegant and feminine bellydance prop that also gives your arms and shoulders a great workout! Learn to float, wrap and swoosh; and use it to enhance other bellydance movements. Then put it all together onto a delightful song that spans Arabic, Turkish and Persian cultures.
Performance opportunities for successful completion.
One course (9 weeks): $165
Both courses: $250
Your teacher Tara Yasmin is an experienced dancer and teacher who loves sharing the joy of dance with students at all levels in their journey.
