Dance with us this January !Join us for three weeks of Belly Dance at Red Mountain in Mesa, Az:
January 5th, 12th, and 26th (no class on the 19th)

6pm - Beginners
7pm - Improvers
The first class is aimed at students with little or no previous dance experience and will cover the basic moves, arm positions and shimmies. You will be shimmying from your first class !
The later class is for dancers with about 20 weeks of belly dance under their coin belt, and is more focused on individual skills and creativity. This semester we will be pick a topic, and work on individual skills and ambitions.
Sign up with the City now for $40, to ensure you have a spot in the class. In the new payment system, your $40 payment to the City is your only payment (Multiple payments are no longer available).
Bellydance is a great way to make friends, get fit, have fun and feel fabulous. Its a mix of modern and traditional dance from the MENAHT regions (Middle East, North Africa, Hellenic, Turkish and beyond), adapted for local audiences.
Your teacher, Sara Shrapnell, is a belly dance teacher, performer, writer and mentor. As the "teacher's teacher", she trains others, world wide, to teach bellydance.
The Red Mountain location is convenient for the 202 and 60 freeways. The venue has a large, free parking plot, changing rooms and childcare options (talk to the venue direct to book). Our dance studio has mirrors each end, and is light and cool. The floor is not the cleanest, so you might prefer to wear soft soled shoes (ballet shoes) or bring wipes to clean up after.
