Participants will learn a set of vocabulary of belly dance movements, cues, chorus structure, and formations. Improvisational group dancing allows for students to move together as one unit, inviting many possibilities for creative expression within the framework of this style. It is exciting, initiates from both sides of the body for balance, and fosters a deep connection with other dancers. This dance is Kajira Djoumahna's format. Finger cymbals and hip belts (or a shawl) are encouraged; but not required.
