Drake Von Trapp:
Cave Goblin Fusion
Combos: stylization
Known for his propensity for moving like a cave goblin who learned to belly dance, Drake teaches the fundamentals of his unique “cave goblin” grunge style of fusion. This class will explore counterintuitive movement pathways, creative floorwork, and body conditioning to unlock the goblin within.
Sagat-cha! Multi-Tonal Finger Cymbal Technique & Combos
Combos: technique
“Multi-tonal technique” is a finger cymbal technique that accompanies Middle Eastern music in a euphonious way that feels as good as it sounds. It is recommended that dancers bring LARGE finger cymbals that are at least 2.5–3” in diameter.
History of Fusion Belly Dance
Have you ever been curious about how we went from Jamila Salimpour and Hahbi’Ru to The Bellydance Superstars and “liquid fusion”? This lecture traces the genealogy of fusion belly dance and what influences and formative figures informed the style throughout the decades.

Ooey Gooey
It’s time to slow way down and focus on deliciously melty and flowing movements. In this
workshop we’ll take a moment to breathe deeply and sink into our dance in a way that makes for
calm, centered and gracefully captivating dance expression. It’s like a moving meditation for your
body, and you will feel incredible the entire way!
Extreme Belly Dance
It’s all about technique: Think you know the chest circle? Think you know the figure 8? THINK AGAIN! Sahira will take you through a series of drills and exercises that pair your favorite isolations and foot patterns together in a way that you never thought possible, unlocking your muscular potential to allow you to dance bigger, stronger and more freely.

Flutter Fan Veil Choreography
The single-hand flutter fan veil is one of the most stunning props in the belly dance vocabulary. Learn the basics of the gorgeous prop and several movements and exciting release tricks as we build a sassy and flirtatious choreography. Flutter fan veils will be available to borrow or purchase.

Join us for an all-levels belly dance workshop featuring an energetic Datura Style Compton Shuffle combo, infused with the spirit of John Compton and Hahbi’Ru. Intermediate and advanced dancers are encouraged to bring their zils to elevate the experience with an extra layer of excitement!
Song Mapping and Dance Composition
This workshop is tailored for dancers at all levels, offering insights into the 8 Elements style of choreographing to music. Learn essential techniques to effectively map out a song. Whether you're a beginner ready to build foundational skills or a seasoned dancer looking to refine your choreographic process, this session promises to deepen your understanding of the 8 Elements approach to composition.
Ooey Gooey Cherry Moon Datura Style Combo
Join us for an exhilarating belly dance workshop featuring the "Ooey Gooey Cherry Moon" Datura Style Combo! Designed for intermediate dancers, this workshop will delve into a smooth and juicy 32-count combination that embodies the essence of Datura Style. Whether you're looking to enhance your improvisation skills or refine your choreography, this workshop promises to elevate your dance repertoire.
