Laissez les bons temps rouler (Let the good times roll!)! Join us for Bellingham's Third Annual Mardi Gras Dog Walk!
This event celebrates our furry friends, resembling The Mystic Krewe of Barkus parade happening during the Mardi Gras season in New Orleans!
Dress up your pooch in a fun carnival-like costume and/or the official Mardi Gras colors of purple, green, and gold. Humans are encouraged to attend in costumes too:
Here's this year's timeline and route!
12:00 - 1:00pm - Gather at Boulevard Park by Woods Coffee - all are welcome!
1:00pm - Walk toward Fairhaven down the Bellingham Boardwalk via South Bay Trail and 10th Street
1:30pm - Meet The Bayou Opossums, a band playing New Orleans-style music, at the parking lot by Övn Wood Fired Pizza
1:35pm - Second Line south down Tenth Street and turn east on Harris Ave to Paws for a Beer
2:00pm - Celebrate at Paws For A Beer and enjoy time with music, drinks, and dogs with live music until 4:00pm!
(Plus: Optional continuation on a self-guided and family-friendly walk to Fairhaven Dog Park!)
All are welcome to gather at Boulevard Park and enjoy the Mardi Gras Dog Walk. Guests 21+ are welcome at Paws for a Beer. Rain or shine, we're still on!
