What stories are hiding in our own backyard? This fall, explore Coles County's folklore and mysteries at Bella Vita Private Resort.
Hear local legends on the hayride, gather around the fire circle for storytelling, brave the Forbidden Woods, and venture into the Mad Gasser’s underground hideout. Along the way, bob for apples and join the scavenger hunt for the Golden Pumpkin, the Witch’s Hat, and the Skeleton Head.
Bring the kids, bring your friends—and bring your stories. What have you heard? What do you remember? If you have a local tale or mystery to share, we’d love to hear it.

$25.00 per person includes: Adventure Pass / Everything above, plus Haunted Hayride and a Walk through the Forbidden Forest.
$35.00 per person includes: All Access Pass / Everything above plus The Mad Gasser Hideout!
