Calling all makers - dive into the world of quilted fashion with the Bella Quilt Coat Workshop with Elissa Ziccardi! The Bella Quilt Coat blends the art of quilting with the functionality of outerwear. This relaxed fit quilted jacket is available in ten sizes, is fully lined, and features set-in sleeves, inseam pockets, a zippered front closure with guard, and a sporty collar that is stylish and functional. Over this multi-day, hands-on event, you’ll craft your very own Bella Quilt Coat (view A on pattern) and have the option to add stunning Bella Accent Sleeves. Choose from the designs in the Bella Accent Sleeves Expansion Pack, or create your own accent sleeve strip from coordinating fabric.
Schedule:
Day 1 (Thursday, 3:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.): Kick off with an overview and prepare your pattern pieces.
Day 2 (Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.): Assemble the coat, construct yokes, sleeves, pockets, and more.
Day 3 (Saturday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.): Master finishing techniques including zipper installation and topstitching.
Two and a half days of hands-on instruction with lunch for the Friday and Saturday sessions, and an exclusive event goodie bag is included in your event registration. Each participant is required to purchase their own pattern (coat and optional expansion Pack) - there is no sharing. Please note the pace of the workshop depends on the group. Required prep work, detailed in the Welcome and Preparation Guide (sent 60 days before the workshop), must be completed prior to arrival.
