Believe It - A Tony Williams Tribute

Tony Williams was one of the most influential drummers of our time, playing with jazz legends like Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter, and Herbie Hancock. Believe It, the first album from his The New Tony Williams Lifetime band, showed off William's innovative music writing, improvisational skills, and performing chops. This album is an amazing example of a musician being true to themselves without saying a single word.

Joshua Gibbs is a UCO Fall 2024 graduate in Music Administration, as well as a local OKC drummer and music event planner. Gibbs hopes to help foster a new appreciation for jazz fusion in the OKC metro area. Not only has Gibbs organized the entirety of this concert himself, he will also lead the band from behind the drum set. The lineup consists of local fusion legends Jared Lowery on guitar, Joe Richard on bass, and ??? on keys. There will also be some exciting guest artists joining us, Noah Roberts on guitar and AJ Slaughter on pedal steel.
