Belfast 4-Week Bellydance Intensive: From Foundations to Performance
About this Event
Join the Belfast Bellydance Foundations to Performance course,
Dates: 29th July, 5th, 12th and 19th August 2026
The Belfast Arabic Dance Intensive is a 4-week progressive training course designed for dancers who wish to move beyond occasional drop-in classes and develop technique, musicality and performance presence through a structured choreographic process.
Across four weeks, we will build a dance piece step by step while refining posture, isolations, rhythm interpretation and expressive movement. Each session develops progressively, allowing participants to deepen their understanding of Arabic dance while gaining confidence and stage awareness.
The course culminates in a filmed choreographic performance, with costumes and props provided for all participants during the final session.
This course is ideal for:
• Beginners who want consistent training
• Dancers returning after a break
• Students interested in developing performance skills
• Anyone curious to explore Arabic dance in a focused studio environment
Places are limited to ensure a focused and supportive learning environment.
*****The course is £60 for all five classes. What’s more, by paying for this course you are helping to fund 4 places for ladies from a less advantaged background to experience the joy of dance. Come learn, grow, and celebrate with us!
A minimum of 5 participants is required for the course to run. In the unlikely event that the minimum is not reached, all participants will receive a full refund.*****
Led by professional dance artist Mar Decena.
