Join in the fun with our W.o.W. Week of Wildlife this May half-term!

Join us in the woodland for lots of forest fun this school holiday! Explore signs of spring in nature, make a nest for the birds, swing in the hammock, dig in the mud kitchen, hunt for bugs, get creative with our wildlife craft, and so much more. There's something for the whole family to enjoy in the woods! (Please note we are unable to hold fires at our Belfairs events due to council restrictions)

FAQs

🎫 Who needs a ticket?

This is a family event; all Children aged 18 months+ will need a ticket to attend this event. Siblings under 18 months do not require a ticket.

📍Where do we meet?

Meet outside the Nature Discovery Centre. Please allow time for parking. If you arrive later, further meeting point instructions will be sent before the event.

🥾What should we wear?

Most of our events are fully outdoors, and you need to come dressed for the weather. We recommend layers (top and bottom), which can get mucky. Wellies (with thick socks) and waterproofs are a good shout if you have them.

🌍Where are you based?

We are located in Leigh-on-Sea, just off the A127 in Southend-on-Sea. We are also close to Rochford, Hadleigh, and Rayleigh.

🚗Is there parking?

Yes, we have two free car parks. The main car park is located within the main entrance but has limited spaces and is a short walk to the Nature Discovery Centre. The second car park is located behind The Inn at Belfairs pub on Eastwood Road North. The Nature Discovery Centre is approximately a 15-minute walk away from the second car park, straight through the woodland. Please allow enough time for parking when arriving for your event.

🚻Are there toilets?

Yes. Our Belfairs Nature Discovery Centre has toilets (including an accessible toilet and baby changing facilities)

☕Is there a café?

There is a café serving hot and cold drinks, snacks, ice cream, and light lunches.

🐕‍🦺Can we bring a dog?

As much as we love our furry friends, only assistance dogs are welcome at our events.
