Bekka Madeleine, Live at Crazy Wisdom Bookstore

Bekka is an Ann Arbor indie-pop artist whose classically trained voice brings warmth and precision to her songs. Her music is co-written with her sister Hannah, whose lyrics are melancholic and cutting. Bekka’s melodies echo that edge and, at times, soften it. The sisters’ new EP, Don’t You Got Better Things to Do?, looks at growing up amid hypocrisy and violence in America.
Opening for Bekka is Stuart Benbow. Blaise Glander’s take:
“The words and music of Stuart Benbow's songs take the listener to waypoints both familiar and new. With adept prose and melody, Stuart sings stories we have all experienced bringing his own heartfelt style along in the process.”
Together, the evening is guaranteed to provide a rollercoaster of thought provoking musical entertainment.
