𝐁𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐡 (𝟗𝟏𝟓𝐦, 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐫𝐨) - 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐥
A starting height of 268m makes access to this Munro relatively easy. Splendid views from the summit and all the way down.
Start from Roughburn, NN377813, where limited parking is available, clear of the entrance gate to a forest road. Head NW on the forest road and turn left (W) at its first junction. At the end of the road, continue on a footpath to exit the forest and ford* the Allt a’ Chaorainn. Follow the path N up the glen to Tom Mor,
marked by a cairn above the opposite bank of the burn. Continue N to the next tributary on the W side of the burn at NN371869, and follow it up W onto the N spur of Beinn Teallach. Gain the crest of its NE ridge and climb it to the summit. Descend S on open slopes to rejoin the outward path at the corner of a plantation and continue on to ford the Allt a’ Chaorainn. On re-entering the forest, follow a path back to Roughburn on
the N bank of the Fèith Shiol.
*Note: If the rivers are in spate, an alternative start may be used at the forest track, NN356807, 280m E of Burnside Cottage. Limited parking may be available here, or 400m further E off the A86. Follow the track to exit the forest at NN348814 and head NE to continue on a path. There is a bridge over the Fèith Shiol at
NN360824 just before this path joins the original route N of the ford.
