With nearly 24 miles of Lake Michigan coastline and numerous waterways crisscrossing the region, one might assume Ottawa County could never face a water shortage. However, thousands of local residents and businesses rely on groundwater pumped from deep aquifers for their everyday H20 needs. In many of these areas, levels are dropping, and water quality is declining.
How could this be possible? And what can we do about it? Get answers to these questions and learn to “Be Water Wise” at this FREE educational event at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22 at the Georgetown Township Library.
