In today’s connected world, every click, post, and download leaves a digital footprint. This class helps families understand the opportunities and risks of life online while equipping parents and children with practical tools to stay safe. Together, we’ll explore the long-term impact of digital footprints, the hidden dangers of popular apps like TikTok and chat platforms, and how to recognize scams such as phishing and social engineering attempts. We’ll also address the challenges of online bullying, offering strategies for prevention, response, and support.
Families will leave with clear guidance on setting boundaries, using security tools, and fostering open conversations that build digital resilience at home.
Presented by staff from Roanoke County's IT Department.
