About this Event
Curious Women! What does it mean to be an elder in 2024?
For generations throughout history, older women played a vital part in the wellbeing of their families and communities. Over time the value of this role has diminished, and today many of us feel disconnected from our ancestral roots. And yet. If there was ever a time to rise up, recognize and reclaim the value and lineage of our knowledge, insight and wisdom, it’s now!
Join us on September 21/24 for a day of dialogue, contemplation and community!
Throughout the day we will share perspectives, explore and together discover:
- What does it mean to be a woman elder in 2024?
- What is being asked of us?
- Which aspects of being an elder have been lost in time and which ones might be renewed?
- In what ways might we live fully into the role of elder?
- How might we support one another?
Laurel Hubber and Linda Moore have been friends for nearly twenty years and will be your facilitators for the day. They are passionate about the need for women to reimagine, reclaim and reweave their place as elders in our communities.
If you have any questions, or would simply like to say hello before the 21st, please call Laurel on her cell 905 912 1945 or email [email protected].
