What began as a lavish, Mesoamerican-inspired movie palace has evolved into the beating heart of Broadway in Detroit, delighting audiences generation after generation since it first raised its curtain.
This tour invites you beyond the velvet rope and behind the scenes. We’ll trace the theatre’s history while exploring its most coveted vantage points and hidden spaces—from balcony to orchestra pit, lobby to dressing rooms, and finally, onto the stage itself. The tour lasts approximately 75 minutes. Guests should wear comfortable walking shoes and be prepared to climb roughly two flights of stairs and to stand for extended periods.
