The West Baton Rouge Museum is pleased to host Behind the Barn Doors, a quarterly series offering workshops and demonstrations ranging from farm chores to blacksmithing, basket weaving, woodworking, fiber art demonstrations, and more. The next installment will take place on Sunday, June 7, 2026 from 2 - 5 PM. Guests are invited into the Big Red Barn on the museum’s campus to channel their inner Betsy Ross by crafting a hand-sewn American flag. Domestic Historian Linda Collins will teach participants the basics of hand stitching individual pieces together in this three-hour class.Participants do not need any previous experience, and all supplies, like fabric, needle, and thread will be provided. The class will be limited to 12 students, so please call the museum today to reserve your spot!
