Training delivered by Senior Educational and Child Psychologist
Please note the attendee needs to be somebody that's part of SLT so they can disseminate the training in their settings. Participants are expected to and embed the learning within their whole‑school contexts.
This course aims to:
- Explore the underlying drivers of behaviour in children and young people (CYP)
- Provide a structured process for understanding and responding to behaviour
- Clarify the different levels of support available for CYP
- Promote reflection on effective and inclusive practice
- Strengthen your setting’s universal offer across the four broad areas of SEND
- Introduce practical tools to support information gathering such as sensory checklist, STAR chart, ABCC model, Interactive Factors Framework (IFF) Assessment of Lagging Skills and Unsolved Problems (ALSUP) etc.
- Includes an opportunity to engage in structured problem‑solving around a young person (must remain anonymous) or systemic issue you are currently concerned about, identifying next steps using a solution circle framework.
