Elly Fernandez teaches tango in Berkeley, Wednesdays, Oct. 15th, 22nd, and 29th! Elly is a full-time, touring tango teacher who brings with her a love for creativity and community building. Join us for the beginner class, intermediate class, or both! These classes are taught using the terms “leaders” and “followers,” and are inclusive to queer, trans, and non-binary people. No partner necessary.
6:45-7:00 pm: check-in
7:00-8:00 pm beginning tango
8:00-8:30 pm practica
8:30-9:30 pm intermediate tango
9:30-10:00 pm practica
The practicas are included with the classes. Stay, dance, and ask questions! Beginners are welcome to watch the intermediate class. If you decide to participate in both the beginner and intermediate class, please pay for both levels.
We encourage everyone to sign up for all three dates in the series!
$60 general admission (three classes, beg. or int)
$25 general admission (single class, beg. or int)
$15 student with ID (single class, beg. or int)
We accept cash and venmo at the door.
In order to join the intermediate class, we recommend that you have been dancing tango regularly for three months (12 dance classes).
Event organized by Lindsey Newbold. La Bruja holds tango classes at the Berkeley City Club almost every Wednesday. There is no class on Wednesday, Oct. 8th.
