Become like a tree- rooted deep in the earth and connected to the sky. Explore the principles of Tai Chi in your daily life, including mindfulness, breath and posture awareness, active relaxation, balancing yin and yang, and slow, integrated core movement. Practicing tai chi will help calm the mind, strengthen your body and nurture your spirit. Research shows tai chi is improves balance, strength, mood, sleep, and reduces pain. Curriculum integrates the Tai Chi Fundamentals Program and the Eight Active Ingredients of Tai Chi.
Early Registration Required. Class size is 12.
Tuition: for 8-week session is $120 Sliding scale offered based on your Personal Financial Experience- $20- $160 for the 8-week class
Fifty percent of proceeds will be donated to Shelter House in Iowa City
