Beginning Stone Carving at the RVCC

Come to the Rockfish Valley Community Center for an afternoon of stone carving in a fun, energetic group. Sculptor and stone carver Bethany Lee will lead a series of carving exercises with hand tools to teach the basic movements and knowlege for controlled, effective stone shaping. Then, students will have the opportunity to carve a design and/or letter in their own block of locally-sourced soapstone to take home.

This class is for both beginning and returning students. If you are a returning student and would like to continue your project from a previous class as opposed to starting a new block of soapstone, you may bring your stone back to continue carving for a $25 discount with CODE Stone2
