In this introductory to sand casting class students will learn the basic fundamentals of wax carving, sand casting, and make a silver ring.

Beginning Sand Casting Rings - Level 1

Instructor: Micah Hollinger

Time: 4pm-8:30pm

Ages: 18 & up

No Experience Needed

Price: $150 + $90 Kit fee (see bold below)

In this introductory to sand casting class students will learn the basic equipment, safety, and materials for wax shaping, packing sand into a mold, melting and pouring silver, and finishing the piece. We’ll cover what types of tools to use for all steps of this process. The best practices for creating a successful pour and all kinds of other fun! Students will create a basic sterling silver ring. This is a great class for beginners or jewelers looking to take their craft to the next level.

There is a supply kit fee made payable to the teacher day of class by cash or check. Please come prepared to pay this fee.

All other tools will be available for use.
