This class meets once a week for 3 hours. It’s an intro OR refresher to jewelry making and silversmithing!
You’ll learn how to make a band ring, how to form and shape, join, polish, texture, and patina metal. Get an understanding of techniques like how to fabricate a bezel and make a band ring. We work through multiple stages of fabrication and soldering so you understand the why and how of soldering to help move on to your next projects and bring your ideas to life.
We’ll also talk about different metals, how to work with them, when, how and why they’re used in jewelry.
By the end, you’ll leave with a finished piece of wearable jewelry and solid basic skills to build on.
