This class is an introduction into the fascinating world of honeybee.Learning about honeybee history, anatomy, activities, and the equipment needed to get started.
After completing this class, you will have the opportunity to take the NCSBA Certified Beekeeper Test. You can also sign up with a mentor if interested. We will have two field days with dates TBA.
This class is for 5 consecutive Saturdays with a different topic being taught each day.
Cost: $75 per individual / $125 couple w/ 1 book
Cost includes a textbook. "The Beekeepers Handbook, 5th edition" by Diana Sammataro and Alphonse Avitabile
Cost will be reduced if you already have a copy.
Payment will be accepted on the first day of Class. Via check or cash.
This year we will be offering Free Classes to anyone age 18 and under who is enrolled in School and a resident of Yadkin County. Must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
