New to yoga??? Think you are not flexible enough for yoga? If you have always wanted to try yoga but are not comfortable dropping into a class..... Beginners Yoga 101 is perfect for you! The only place you need to be flexible is in your mind. Join in for the full 5-week session or attend individually. Expect a lot of instruction as we will break down the common elements of a yoga class, and introduce the fundamental principles of alignment in poses (asana), and breathing techniques (pranayama). Each pose will be demonstrated, then lead to participants with an emphasis on safety and stability within each pose. Questions are encouraged. In this workshop, we also go over the use of props, learning how to use blocks, straps, and blankets to deepen the practice. Discover the many benefits of yoga.....stress relief, increased strength & flexibility, and overall sense of balance and well-being, and how to take your yoga practice into your everyday life. You don't need to be able to touch your toes; you just need to be willing to try.
