Beginners Sewing & Overlocking Class at Bolton

Perfect for complete beginners or those looking to build confidence with sewing machines and overlockers. This hands-on workshop will introduce you to the basics of machine sewing in a relaxed and supportive environment.

During the class, you will learn how to:

• Set up and safely use both a sewing machine and an overlocker
• Understand the main features and functions of each machine
• Thread machines correctly and troubleshoot common issues
• Learn basic machine maintenance and care
• Practice simple sewing techniques and seams

Students will complete a very basic beginner-friendly project, such as a simple cushion cover or pillowcase, giving you the confidence to continue sewing at home

Please bring:

• Fabric scissors
• Pencil and pen
• 30cm ruler
• Any additional fabric you would like to use for your take-home project

Janome sewing machines will be provided on the day. You will also receive a 10% discount card to use in-store
