Are you new to open water swimming or preparing for your first triathlon? Feeling a bit nervous about swimming in a lake for the first time? This one day camp is designed to help beginners gain confidence and essential skills for open water swimming.
What You’ll Learn:
How to prepare for open water swimming, including adjusting to colder water temperatures.
Understanding Triathlon BC rules for swimming, including wetsuit guidelines.
Techniques for swimming around buoys, sighting in open water, and controlling your breathing.
Strategies to stay calm and focused during your swim and navigate the course effectively.
Who Should Attend:
This camp is perfect for:
Training for their first open water swim or triathlon.
Looking to improve their open water swimming skills.
Interested in trying open water swimming for the first time.
Requirements:
Comfortably swim 400 meters in a pool.
Wetsuits are recommended but not mandatory.
