This beginner-friendly, hands-on clinic is designed to introduce riders and horses to the exciting sport of Cowboy Mounted Shooting in a safe, supportive environment. We’ll start with the basics of firearm safety with an overview of the rules and format of the sport, and what it takes to get started in mounted shooting. From there, we’ll work with both horse and rider on desensitization, building confidence around the sights and sounds of the sport, and gradually introducing your horse to firing.
Whether you’re completely new to mounted shooting or just curious about getting started, this clinic will give you the foundation and confidence to take the next step. All shooting equipment is provided; participants just need to bring their horse and tack.
