Being new to something can be challenging and intimidating. It's hard to know where to start. One of the biggest barriers to entry for new yoga students is walking into a class where everyone else knows what they're doing and what to expect. If you have always wanted to try yoga and are confused about where to start, we have an awesome opportunity for you! Begin at the beginning.
This four-week series is designed specifically for beginners. We will meet from 6:00-7:00 pm every Wednesday from October 2nd to 23rd and begin to lay the groundwork for your yoga practice. The course is organized in a way where we will build off of concepts, breathwork, and movements from the previous class. You will gain an overall understanding of the basics of traditional yoga postures so you can continue to build off of a safe, sustainable, and skillful foundational practice as well as have the confidence to explore any of our regular yoga offerings.
The topic and format for each class will include:
Class 1 (Oct. 2) - Foundations of Breath, Movement, & Standing Postures
Class 2 (Oct. 9) - Strength & Integrity in Your Core
Class 3 (Oct. 16) - Mobilizing Your Spine with Twists
Class 4 (Oct. 23) - Putting It All Together
The investment is $50/student and will include handouts, optional reading assignments between classes, and four-week beginner-focused movement practices.
Pre-registration is required. Space is limited to 12 students. All yoga mats, props, etc. are provided.
No refunds, transfers, or partial enrollments. The cost includes all 4 classes. If you miss any class in the series you will not be refunded the portion for the class missed.
