All these courses are tailored for complete beginners, where no previous dance experience is needed.

🌱 We recommend you start with one of our beginner courses in Lindy Hop, called “Lindy Hop 1” – it’s the best introduction to the swing dancing world. All Lindy Hop 1 courses have the same material.
🧑🤝🧑 You don’t have to sign up with a partner – we rotate partners in class (couples can choose to stay together).
If you would like to dance without a partner, then come join one of our solo courses. You can choose between these great dances: Solo Jazz and Tap Dancing.
The courses last 8 weeks (one class per week), and each class is 1h10min long.
The classes take place in our beautiful dance studio in Nordvest, 400m away from Nørrebro Station.

What is Swing Dancing?
“Swing Dance” is a group of African-American dances set to swing music and other old school Jazz styles from the 1920’s to the 1950’s. The Swing family includes many different dances from the above period, like Solo Jazz, Collegiate Shag, Balboa, Tap and the most popular of them all: The Lindy Hop – also originally known as the Jitterbug in Europe.
These are all dances created by African-Americans (the only exception here is the Afrobeats course, which comes from West Africa). In all these dances rhythm and improvisation is at the core, and being social through dancing together is central to all of them.

A few words about Happy Feet Studio:
We are the biggest swing dance studio in Copenhagen, located in Norvest, 400m from Nørrebro Station.
We teach Lindy Hop, Balboa, Collegiate Shag, Tap dancing and Solo Jazz. We provide weekly classes for all levels, from beginners to advanced dancers. Additionally, we organize workshops, social dance events, and monthly Friday Parties with live music.
