Want to add something handmade to your wardrobe? In this workshop, you'll sew your own kimono-inspired wrap from start to finish. No sewing experience needed. Just show up ready to learn!

Wraps are the perfect beginner garment. The construction is straightforward, the fit is forgiving, and you walk away with something you'll actually wear! We'll guide you through every step.

Topics covered include:

• Fundamentals of using a sewing machine
• How to use a pattern
• Understanding seam allowance
• Right side vs. wrong side of fabric
• Straight stitch and overstitch
• How to hem
• Finishing techniques for a polished look

Thank you for your interest in this workshop! Just a note that this workshop needs a minimum of two attendees to run. In the rare case that no one else is signed up by a few days prior to the workshop time, we will reach out to let you know. If a workshop is canceled, your ticket will be either refunded via store credit or rescheduled, whichever you prefer.

Choose your style: Select from a cropped/shorter length or a longer full-length kimono. Both are beginner-friendly and use the same techniques.

Fabric: Not included in the workshop price. You're welcome to purchase fabric in-store or bring your own. If bringing your own, plan for 2–3 yards of lightweight, non-stretchy, and non-slippery material. We recommend cotton and linen for beginner sewers.

Duration: 2hrs. Depending on your working speed and meticulousness, it could take 2-3hours. The workshop will ensure that everyone knows what to do so you can finish at your leisure. All workshop attendees have free access to open studio hours to finish their projects on our sewing machines.

Minimum age: 13 years old (minors must be accompanied by an adult for the full duration of the workshop)
