Class Experience

Create your own one-of-a-kind ceramic plate inspired by a favorite animal, creature, or character.

Using slabs of clay, you'll learn how to shape a plate and add ears, eyes, noses, and other details before decorating your piece with colorful underglazes.

Whether you make a frog, bunny, bear, pig, cat, or invent a creature all your own, every Plate Pal will be completely unique.

No prior experience is necessary.

Ages 6+

Children ages 6 and up may attend independently. Children under 6 are welcome with a supervising adult. Supervising adults are welcome to assist younger children, but adults who would like to create their own Plate Pal must purchase a separate registration.

Registration includes:

• One hand-built ceramic Plate Pal
• Clay, underglazes, glazing, and firing
• All tools and materials

Additional Plate Pals may be made and purchased for $15 each.

Finished work available for pickup approximately 3–4 weeks after the workshop
