Beginner (PART TWO) Wheel Throwing 6-week Artist Series
About this Event
Starts November 5th (Thursdays from 10:00AM-1:00PM for 6 weeks).
CLASS DATES: 11/5; 11/12; 11/19; 12/3; 12/10; and 12/17. There is no class on 11/26.
We will review centering and throwing a cylinder and then proceed to making different bowls, lids, bottles, plus trimming with a chuck and glazing. Also covered will be handles and various spouts. The instructor can demonstrate other techniques that students are interested in or want to see. Bring questions and wear old clothes.
For students who have taken one of our beginner level ceramic series . (New students are welcome if they can throw a three-inch cylinder.)
Fee does not include materials. Clay and glaze can be purchased from the instructor.

About the instructor: Lee Cummings has over fifty years experience working with clay--thirty as a production potter, taught at Germantown Academy and Unity College, and had a one person show at the University Museum in Bangor, as well as sold her work through Littlefield Gallery and Greenhut Gallery.
