Beginner Mahjong at Brewpoint

Come join us at Brewpoint Coffee in Elmhurst for a fun introduction to American Mahjong. You’ll learn how to read the tiles and the National Mahjong League Card, how to set up the tiles, and how to play through the basics of the game.

Angela Buikema from Mahjong Mischief will guide you step by step in a friendly, small-group setting. (Angela is a certified Oh My Mahjong Instructor and a member of the Mahj Life Instructor Guild.) All teaching materials and mahjong sets are provided. Teaching assistants will also provide additional coaching and explanations tableside.

Brewpoint Coffee offers a bright, welcoming space that’s perfect for learning and connection.

We’ll begin promptly at 6:15 pm, so arrive a little early to get a drink, find your seat, and settle in before class begins. (They also have delicious charcuterie boards!)

Food & Drinks:

Brewpoint’s evening coffee, cocktail & charcuterie menu will be available for purchase. Just bring it to the table and enjoy while you play.
