This fun, hands-on session is designed specifically for novices. You will be warmly welcomed by Kris and her team of knitting enthusiasts, who are passionate about sharing their craft. They will patiently guide you step-by-step through the essential basics of knitting, ensuring you build a solid foundation.
Core Skills: Learn fundamental techniques, including casting on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, and binding off.
Creative Samples: By the end of the workshop, you will have created your own small knitted samples, giving you the immediate satisfaction of a completed project and the confidence to continue practicing.
Atmosphere: Enjoy learning in a fun, relaxed, and supportive group setting where questions are encouraged, and laughter is guaranteed.
Materials and Logistics:
We want to make the experience as convenient as possible.
Needles: Feel free to bring your favorite knitting needles (size 8 or 9 recommended) if you already own a pair. However, there's no need to purchase any specifically for the event; loaner needles will be available for you to use during the workshop.
Supplies: All necessary yarn and instructions are provided and included in the cost. You will leave with materials and knowledge to keep practicing at home!
