Beginner Jazz is a great way to empower your body, move those hips, and feel all your sassy inspiration that builds confidence thru your divine energy. We use jazz and contemporary inspired moves to create fun choreography shorts each month. No performances necessary, or required, but showing your NEW moves OFF might be the first thing on your list at the end of every month! This class is taught by a trauma informed therapist that is also a BURLESQUE PERFORMER across the US!!
Scarlett Wisteria began her journey with Meraki Movement in early 2020. She has worked as a professional burlesque performer since 2019, and recently earned her beginner’s bellydance certification and teacher’s certification. Scarlett enjoys sharing her love of performance art while promoting Body positive environments.
Scarlett carries a belief with her through her performances that "If just one person in the audience, or a class, feels like they can dance or be sexy in whatever body they are right now, today, then I know I have done my job." Scarlett’s addition brings us another body positive class & instructor to help support individual growth in empowerment of oneself. As a licensed professional counselor, she understands the importance of movement to mental health and provides a trauma informed environment for students to explore the joy of dancing. Her body positive, community building, and trauma informed approach are just what the dance world needs in teachers.
“Beginner Jazz - Sassy Fusion” will be $40 per month/$12 drop ins. Please pay the teacher at the beginning of each month to lock in the package pricing.
