Beginner Friendly Crochet Ornament Class
Date: SUNDAY, DEC 8 & 15. 11a-1p
Cost: $40 per student, due at sign up in person or invoiced.
Description: Learn to make this beautiful ornament, perfect for decorating your own tree or gifting to others.
Tools and Supplies:
Yarn - any worsted weight yarn,
approx. 2 yds of Color A
approx. 8 yds of Color B
approx. 4 yds of Color C
approx. 3 yds of Color D
Hook – US H (5.0mm)
Notions – sharp scissors, tapestry needle and 60mm ornament. All tools and supplies are available at Casting On for an additional cost.
Pattern: Thea Ornament by Sarah Korth, $5, can be purchased and downloaded from Ravelry or purchased and printed at Casting On
What you need to know: You need to have a firm understanding of all the basic stitches and/or have taken the 3-Day Learn to Crochet class at Casting On. You need to know how to chain, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, and slip stitch.
What you’ll learn: How to work the Thea Ornament, how to work puff stitches, how to work the Magic Ring, exact stitch placement, how to read a crochet pattern and how to assemble the ornament.
