Get your hands on some clay! This beginner class gives students a taste of hand building, throwing, and basic glazing. This is an opportunity to try ceramics and see if it's right for you! Please note the dates: This class meets Saturdays 10-1 on 4/4, 4/11, 4/18, and 5/2
About Rita Payne: After earning her BFA in Ceramics from Pratt Institute, Rita Payne established her studio, Beiko Ceramics, in upstate New York. With experience teaching and managing at The Smithy for several years, Rita has worked with individuals ranging from 1 to 100 years old. She also regularly leads community workshops across the state, and her ceramic work can be found in various shops and restaurants, domestic and international.
