Learn the foundations of quilting in a friendly, welcoming environment designed with beginners in mind.
This two-day, hands-on workshop is built around The Quilting Book from DK, a comprehensive guide featuring more than 200 step-by-step techniques and 85 classic blocks. If you have ever wanted to start quilting but weren’t sure where to begin, this class offers a clear, relaxed, and confidence-building path forward.
Friday: 5-9 with dinner included
Saturday: 9-4
What You’ll Learn
Your instructor will walk you through the essentials at a comfortable pace, including:
• How to measure, cut, and piece accurately
• Understanding fabric grain and layout
• Beginner-friendly piecing methods
• Introduction to improv and foundation paper piecing
• Pressing techniques that improve accuracy
• How to assemble your quilt top and prepare it for quilting
