Beginner Beach Sand Casting

Brynna Justice is an interdisciplinary designer working in industrial design, design research, and material innovation. She is a Designer in Providence by day, and at night (and on weekends), she develops her craft in casting, jewelry, printmaking, and fiber arts.

She creates biomimicry in her work, and has developed sustainable and biodesign partnerships with industry and academic partners such as Estée Lauder, P&G, and the National Wildlife Federation. Brynna holds a BFA in Industrial Design from the Rochester Institute of Technology. She loves orange cats, libraries, and a nice cup of coffee.

Unleash your creativity with our hands-on Beginner Beach Sand Casting class designed for beginners in small sculpture, jewelry, and product design using objects found on and sculpted for the Rhode Island coastline.

Access to Equipment:

After the class, students will need to sign up for a tool test to access the equipment for future projects.

The materials fee for this class is $20. This is separate from the ticket price and is to reimburse the instructor for any tools or materials used in this class. This will be paid once, directly to the instructor at the start of the first class meeting. This instructor accepts payments in cash, through Venmo or Paypal, or as a check.

Students will learn:

-Introductory Sand Casting

-Mold-making techniques, and basic tips to get a successful casting

-Project ideation and applications for sand casting
